In early December 2006, the Department of Labor & Industry, Bureau of PENNSAFE activated a new online product for Tier II Hazardous Chemical Reporting System called the Pennsylvania Tier II System (PATTS).  PATTS allows a facility representative to create a user id on a secure system and submit their Tier II Report(s) and required supplemental attachments such as site plans and MSDS sheets on-line.  You should have already received the attached letter from PENNSAFE discussing this new on-line program, please review the attachment to ensure you are aware of the changes taking place with respect to Tier II Reporting.  Facilities are encouraged to utilize this on-line system for the upcoming reporting cycle, however it is not mandatory for the current reporting year.  It will become mandatory for the next reporting year. Please note that for this reporting period, if you are using the PATTS system for your Tier II Report to PENNSAFE, the system currently will NOT transmit to the County.  You will still need to print your Tier II Report to be submitted to the County and the respective Fire Department(s) in paper copy.
